Honestly advice here
Step 1: Go into the review tomorrow and don't take any shit. If you think they are being disingenuous about your performance, don't be a pussy call them out on it. When they tell you that you have three months, ask for four months. Stand up for yourself and don't let the act like they're doing you any favors.
Step 2: Walk out the the review and go home. Take the rest of the week off and clear your head. Go do something fun.
Step 3: First thing Sunday morning, sit down and polish your resume, draft a couple generic cover letters and start applying for ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. Apply to firms, in-house, non-profits, government, non-legal jobs. Give yourself as many options as you can while you have the time.

Just a heads up, recruiters are great for BIGLAW positions but they don't give you everything. You may want to spend a few hours going to firm web sites, even for BIGLAW, and see what they have posted as openings.
Watching my bros go through the process, many firms are more likely to bring you in if you apply directly through the web site as opposed to a recruiter (since they don't have to pay a fee). And you're more likely to negotiate a signing bonus.
With smaller firms and in-house positions, it will all be on your own so start combing web sites starting Sunday.

ACC website

linkedin
And just simply look at what companies are in the areas you want to live. Look at their websites and see if they have openings.
For legal jobs use:

i would go a step further and say that if a recruiter is offering you a biglaw position that is openly advertised on their website (and thus not an exclusive recruiter listing), don't apply through the recruiter at all.
law firms recruiting doesn't work like anything else where submitting through website is like submitting into a black hole. if you're qualified, they will get back to you in biglaw and they will be more likely to get back to you if they don't have to pay an absurd recruiter fee when they can get an equally qualified candidate without paying one.
i say this from experience where recruiters submitting me to ttt shit and they weren't responding at all while i was getting intvs at higher ranked vault firms submitting on my own.

I may do it if the firm were pulling strings to help me get a job. A friend of mine was fired, but a partner helped secure him an in-house position. It was probably more the timing. The client was looking for someone with his exact skill set.
Other than that, I know some people may go in to give the spouse and family the appearance that they are still employed. Although, I'd probably go to the movies in a suit if I had to do it.
Nevertheless, your statement is credited. Take those 90 days for yourself and your family.

to op bro (if not flame): really sorry to hear it. it sucks, but you seem like you have a good head on your shoulders. good luck landing on your feet.
General rant: this isn't stealthing. "Stealthing" came from the darkest hours of ITE and referred to a firm conducting a mass headcount-reducing layoff but doing it sneakily through completely BS performance reviews. Basically, stealthing is trying to pull a Latham (or should we call it pulling a Weil now?) while keeping your firm's name off of ATL. Laying people off because of performance or as part of the natural culling that happens in every firm to midlevels and seniors? That's not stealthing.

Day is intense- lots of stuff to handle as we are essentially an inhouse lawfirm. You are expected to be at your desk and working by 9am. Most people leave about 5:30 and the place is a ghost town by 6pm. Lunch is a big deal. My team gathers in a conf room at 12:30 sharp and you're expected to be there for a half hour. Mainly shoot the shit, sometimes talk work if team leader wants to.
NO weekend work. About once every 7 or 8 months, there's some type of fire drill that requires us to come in on Saturday. They are deeply apologetic.
all in all pretty fucking chill and 10X better than biglol
