The bride, 27, who is known as Polly, is keeping her surname. She is a third-year law student at Columbia, from which she graduated magna cum laude.
She is a daughter of Elizabeth S. Silverman and Stephen I. Silverman of Cranbury, N.J. The bride’s father is the founder and the chief investment officer of Ironbound Partners, a hedge fund, in Princeton N.J. Her mother is the chairwoman for the Planned Parenthood Association of the Mercer Area in Trenton and a trustee of the Peddie School in Hightstown, N.J., and the Harpeth Hall School in Nashville.
Mr. Ahlgren, 36, is a model with New York Model Management in New York.
He is a son of Ann Marie M. Ahlgren and Dr. Lars G. Ahlgren of Kalmar, Sweden. The groom’s mother retired as an English teacher at Oskarshamn High School in Oskarshamn, Sweden. His father retired as the administrative head and the chief medical officer of Kalmar Hospital.
