The curve is also kind of brutal from what I can tell, as in it isn't grade inflated in the way that it is at most law schools.
I'm not sure I would agree with the comment about the alumni support, though. I would actually see that as one of the school's strengths, based on the somewhat limited experience I've had. |

The number of alumni is so big and the experience at Hastings so impersonal that I just don't think they develop the kind of shared bond that would make having such a large alumni base helpful.

1. Yes alumni give you the finger, they are no help. 2. The harsh grading curve is somewhat a myth. Class rank is what is important. If you got to hastings, you need to be in the top20% to get a big law job. so who cares about what your gpa is, you just need to be in the top 20%. 3. Famous Civ pro profs, but they are also the worse teachers. 4. Hastings is a solid school. Hastings is the catch all of USC/UCLA/Boalt rejects. you can still find solid jobs in CA from hastings.
