First, T levels fluctuate throughout the day. Second, circulating T =/= free T, or T that isn't bound to SHBG, which is the only T that can do anything. Third, androgen receptor density/sensitivity plays a roll in how T is processed. Fourth, a lot of the important effects T has on the body occur in the womb and during puberty. So yeah....contrary to what modestly smart aspie lawyers think, it's not as simple as "low T = beta, small dick, weak muscles, incel and high T = alpha, big dick, gets laid a lot". There are people who produce a lot of T because their bodies are not efficient as processing it so their nuts kick it into overdrive just to maintain normal T "functioning".
You only really see a big difference in someone physically/mentally when their T is elevated to like...5x their normal level (i.e. steroids). |
