The ones with so much money that where they go to school is irrelevant, and those who attend (on scholarship) for the sake of creating a "multi-ethnic tapestry" that urban elite libs are so fond of and so that Peyton Cabot IV can say he had "black" friends.

Traditionally Deerfield was not an aristocratic school as St. Paul's or Groton. Students came from the upper-upper middle classes but who wouldn't quite cut it academically at Exeter/Andover. |

It's weird if you're an Al Bundy type who went to some random public school in the heartland with middling academics. Deerfield (and many private schools) are the sorts of schools that instill a sense of loyalty and identity in the students. Plus, strong alumni. |

they have a SICK lacrosse team and campus though. its nicer than most college campuses. |
