Nice grey pants, a black sweater with a big wide neck, and black shoes with tallish narrow heels (not pencil thin, but rather narrow).

No. I have a T1 safety.

I now have a busines suit that I can wear in case of future interviews and such, thus saving me from future what-to-wear threads. I had to scour the entire freaking city of Chicago to find it.

Lincoln Park area. We were looking for a restaurant there, but it was closed. At the time, it seemed like a failed ending to a failed weekend...until I saw that blessed store.

Actually, now that THAT's over I keep wanting to go shopping.

It's called Sweet Basil. The sign said that they were to open around the time that we got there, which seemed rather felicitous, so we waited in the cold for a while until it became clear that it was not, in fact, going to open. Ever been there? It was fantastic when I was there one time.

We ended up at some Mexican restaurant (Fiesta something or other) with really good food and an amusing huge TV system on which they were playing videos of female Latin music stars.

OK, I am interviewing at a law school. I know for sure that I want to go there, but I am not sure how much detailed info I should know about the school. I mean, I have a general idea of what the school likes to emphasize about itself, I know the names and have a general idea of what the major faculty members are into, and I know about the school's extra programs, clinics, etc.

My fear is that they will want me to know exactly which area of the law I will want to study and with whom.

I applied to what is now my safety last year. My intention was only to go there, but after I took the LSAT, a bunch of schools sent me app fee waivers. After that, I started talking to attorneys that I know and I realized how freaking important prestige is. Once I opened my mind to the idea of moving, I realized that there are other schools that I would rather attend, anyway. As a result, I got a nonbinding deferral.
