It's not that surprising - Quinn is obviously trying to make a name for itself as a compensation leader. They also have a growing NY office (i think almost 70 now), so they were going to have to match the 145K for that office anyway. It's smart - I think they're all going to go to 145K (b/c firms like Gibson have policies on equal pay among offices), so why not be one of the first.
