okay so i am gonna do it through my ledger nano s / myether wallet. i just hope i dont fuck things up. if you have a ledger nano s i guess the steps are to:
1. make sure "browser support" is turned ON on the ledger nano s. NOTE that if browser support is turned on it wont work through your chrome extension or whatever.
2. go to this link and click link at bottom: https://www.myetherwallet.com/
3. choose ledger nano s and then click connect to ledger nano s
4. use the default "path" it selects and then click the radio button of the eth address where the eth is being held that you want to contribute
5. click unlock your wallet
6. click the + to open the add data dialog box
7. enter the three #s (data / gas limit / to address)
7A. gas limit should be changed to 250000
7B. what is the 'data' number exactly? is it the "account address" that is on the left of the myetherwallet screen? I think that's what it is since the beginning portion of it defaults into the data box.
7C. to address - presumably we received this tomorrow when the sale starts
8. enter the "amount to send" (i'll probably just send all 133 ETH i'm gonna have in my wallet)

Mysterium Contribution and Allocation Terms and Explanatory Note
This document and any other Mysterium documents published in association with these Terms relate to the Mysterium network project and the creation of tokens for the project including the intended purpose and use of the tokens on the network by various participants. The contribution to the Mysterium project and the corresponding creation and allocation of tokens pursuant to these Terms do not constitute an offer of securities or a promotion, invitation or solicitation for investment purposes. The terms of the Contribution are also not therefore a Prospectus. The Mysterium network project and the creation and use of tokens related thereto involves the use of experimental unproven software and technologies that represent a high risk to any participants and contributors.
1. Principles
The following Terms ("Terms") govern the contribution procedure (“Contributions” collectively, and “Contribution” individually) to the Project by contributors (“Contributors” collectively, and “Contributor” individually) and the subsequent allocation of transferable cryptographic blockchain-based digital information units called MYST token (“MYST”) to Contributors during the specified Contribution period (”Contribution Period”). The Mysterium Project entity to be established after the Contribution Period ("Mysterium Entity"), will promote the administration and development of a smart contract based software technology (“The Client”) running on the Ethereum network that enables the creation of a public decentralized cloud computing platform the public can use to run client and server applications (“MYSTERIUM Network”). The Mysterium Entity shall be responsible for the creation and allocation of MYST in accordance with these Terms including the Smart Contract System (defined below) upon its incorporation and shall ratify or re-issue these Terms with any necessary changes being made as appropriate. Operation of the Mysterium Network requires the use of MYST (and ETH). MYST is a participatory token that allows the holder to deploy and run software code, support operation of the network through “mining”, and connect to the Mysterium Network.
The creation and allocation of MYST by the Smart Contract System or SCS (defined below) are initiated by the Contributor sending an amount of ETH to the SCS, located on the Ethereum blockchain at the addresses set forth under para [6], which triggers a smart contract operation. The SCS creates and recommends an allocation of the corresponding MYST to the Contributor’s wallet address, from where the ETH were sent from. The Mysterium Project co-ordinators and the Mysterium Entity are not and will not be able to guarantee to Contributors that the creation and allocation of MYST will be conducted as set forth in these Terms or that the MYST and the Mysterium Network will have the functionality as set forth in these Terms.
The Contributor understands and accepts that while the individuals and entities related to Mysterium, including those involved with the creation and allocation of MYST and receipt of Contributions (including the Mysterium Entity to be created) , will make reasonable efforts to develop and complete the Mysterium Network, it is possible that such development may fail and that the Mysterium Network, as well as the entire Mysterium Project and/or any MYST will not be created, become useless and/or valueless due to technical, commercial, regulatory or any other reasons (see also section [6] regarding Risks).
The Contributor is also aware of the risk that even if all or parts of the Mysterium Network and/or Mysterium Project are successfully developed and released in full or in parts, due to a lack of public interest, the Mysterium Network and/or Mysterium Project could be fully or partially abandoned, remain commercially unsuccessful, or shut down for lack of interest or other reasons. The Contributor therefore understands and accepts that the Contribution to Mysterium Project and the allocation, use, ownership and transfer of MYST, carries significant financial, regulatory and operational risks (including the complete loss of usability or value (if any) of MYST).
By making Contributions to the Mysterium Project, the Contributor expressly agrees to all of the terms and conditions set forth in the Ethereum Smart Contract System, at the address as communicated by Mysterium on its website prior to the start of the Contribution Period and the terms and conditions in this document (together the "Terms"). The Contributor further confirms to have carefully reviewed the Terms and fully understands the risks and costs of making a Contribution for the development of the Mysterium Project. The Contributor also acknowledges and accepts that it is intended that the Mysterium Entity shall be incorporated or established prior to or after the end of the Contribution Period and the terms and conditions in this document may be re-issued (with any variation to the terms as are reasonably required) by the publication of revised terms by the Mysterium Entity and that reference to these Terms include any revised terms and conditions that may be published by the Mysterium Entity on the Mysterium website from time to time and that shall supersede these terms upon the date of such publication.
The Contributor also understands and accepts that - as the Contribution is smart contract based - the functions, terms and conditions applicable thereon are set forth in the smart contract system existing on the Ethereum blockchain at 0xE7E01BABb53c98f8d84d05dFff64Ebb63ed37bF5 ("Smart Contract System" and/or “SCS”). To the extent these terms contradict to the ones set forth in the SCS, the terms of the SCS prevail absent manifest error or any material failure in the SCS that requires modification to the SCS code (in which case the Terms shall be considered in their entirety and these terms shall be used to interpret any modifications to the SCS as reasonably required to give effect to the Terms particularly in respect of the issuance and allocation of MYST). Furthermore, no other document or communication may modify or add any additional obligations or covenants to Mysterium beyond those set forth in the Terms.
This document does not constitute a prospectus of any sort, is not a solicitation for investment and does not promote or pertain in any way to an offering of securities in any jurisdiction. This document is a description of the functionality of a blockchain-based campaign whereby Contributions are recognised or rewarded with the issue of tokens to be used on the Mysterium Network being developed with those Contributions and of the plans regarding the implementation of the Mysterium Network and/or Mysterium Project.
By contributing to the Mysterium Project and/or by receiving, transferring, using and holding MYST, no form of partnership, joint venture or any similar relationship between the Contributors, the Mysterium Project, the Mysterium Entity and/or other individuals or entities involved with Mysterium, the Mysterium Network and the Mysterium Project is created.
2. Representations and Warranties of Contributor
The Contributor understands and accepts that MYST do not represent or constitute any ownership right or stake, share, unit or other security or equivalent right in or relating to Mysterium Entity, the Client, the Mysterium Project and/or any software, any public or private company, corporation, entity or property.
By contributing to the Mysterium Project, and/or by receiving, using and holding of MYST, the Contributor understands, represents and warrants that:
a. due to legal uncertainties and complexity of US financial regulations, the Mysterium Project and the Mysterium Entity will not accept any risk associated with any Contributions of US persons by residency or citizenship ("US-Persons");
b. the Contributor is not a US-Person;
c. the Contributor has a deep understanding of the functionality, usage, storage, transmission mechanisms and intricacies associated with cryptographic tokens, like bitcoin (BTC) and ether (ETH), and blockchain-based software systems;
d. the Contributor is legally permitted to receive and hold and make use of MYST in the Contributor’s jurisdiction;
e. the Contributor has carefully reviewed the code of the Smart Contract System located on the Ethereum blockchain at the addresses set forth under paragraph 7 herein and fully understands and accepts the functions implemented therein;
f. the Contributor is legally permitted to receive software and contribute to the Mysterium Project;
g. the Contributor is of a sufficient age to legally obtain MYST;
h. Contributor will contribute only from a wallet or wallet service provider that technically supports MYST. Contributor understands and accepts, that failure to ensure this may have the result that Contributor will not gain access to his MYST.
i. the Contributor will take sole responsibility for any restrictions and risks associated with the receiving and holding of MYST;
j. the Contributor is not contributing to the Mysterium Project to obtain MYST for the purposes of speculative investment and intends to use MYST to participate in the Mysterium Network and/or Mysterium Project;
k. the Contributor is not obtaining or using MYST for any illegal purposes;
l. the Contributor waives the right to participate in a class action lawsuit or a class-wide arbitration against any entity or individual involved with: the Contribution to the Mysterium Project; the allocation of MYST or receipt of Contributions; and with the operation of the Mysterium Network and/or Mysterium Project including the Mysterium Entity;
m. the Contributor understands the Contribution to the Mysterium Project and the allocation of MYST do not involve the purchase of shares or units or any equivalent interest in the Mysterium Entity or in any existing or future public or private company, corporation or other legal entity in any jurisdiction;
n. the Contributor understands and expressly accepts that there is no warranty whatsoever on MYST and/or the success of the Mysterium Network and/or Mysterium Project, expressed or implied, to the extent permitted by law, and that MYST is created and obtained at the sole risk of the Contributor on an "as is" and “under development” basis and without, to the extent permitted by law, any warranties of any kind, including, but not limited to, warranties of title or implied warranties, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose;
o. the Contributor understands that Contributor has no right against any other party to request any refund of Contributions made to the Mysterium Project and that MYST have no par value and are non-refundable and non-redeemable;
p. the Contributor understands that the availability of MYST for use on the Mysterium Network can not be guaranteed and that the value of MYST (if any) over time may experience extreme volatility or depreciate in full;
q. the Contributor understands that the Contributor bears the sole responsibility to determine if the Contribution to the Mysterium Project, the allocation, use or ownership of MYST, the potential appreciation or depreciation in the value (if any) of MYST over time, the sale and purchase of MYST and/or any other action or transaction related to the Mysterium Network and/or Mysterium Project have tax implications for him; by contributing to the Mysterium Project, and/or by receiving, using, transferring or holding MYST, and to the extent permitted by law, the Contributor agrees not to hold any associated party including advisors, administrators, auditors, contractors, developers or founders ("Released Persons") liable for any tax liability associated with or arising from the Contribution to the Mysterium Project, the allocation, use or ownership of MYST or any other action or transaction related to the Mysterium Network and/or Mysterium Project;
r. the Contributor is contributing in his own name and on its own account and not on behalf of any other person or with ETH of a third party.
3. Mysterium Project Contribution Procedure
3.1. Qualification and General Issues
Contribution: Any Contribution made to the Mysterium Project and received by the Mysterium Entity during the Contribution Period as described below is qualified as a non-refundable contribution in return for a token that has no par value and will not be redeemable for ETH with the Mysterium Entity.
Currencies for Contributions: Contributions can be made using Ether (ETH) only.
Exchange rates: For the purpose of determining the value of Contributions in CHF, the SCS will use, throughout the Contribution Period, a fixed ETH/CHF exchange rate as provided by CoinMarketCap or equivalent service shortly before the beginning of the Contribution Event.
Contribution Rounds: Contributions will be collected in one round ("Contribution Event").
3.2. Contribution Period and Caps
Contribution Period: The contribution period starts on May 30, 2017 and will last for an initial duration of 14 days or until the Contribution Soft Cap amounting to an equivalent of CHF 6 Million (CHF 6’000’000), calculated as set forth under para 14, has been reached ("Contribution Soft Cap"), whatever is earlier (“Initial Contribution Period”).
If the Contribution Soft Cap is reached prior to the end of the Initial Contribution Period, the SCS will continue to accept further Contributions for a period of 72 hours after the Contribution Soft Cap was reached or until the Contribution Hard Cap of CHF 14 Million (CHF 14,000’000) has been reached ("Contribution Hard Cap"), whatever is earlier (“Contribution Period”).
Exceeding / not accepted Contributions: No Contributions shall be accepted after the Contribution Hard Cap has been reached. In case – due to technical reasons – the Contribution Software accepts Contributions exceeding the Contribution Hard Cap, the exceeding Contributions shall be returned to the address the respective contribution transfer has been sent from. It lies within each Contributor’s responsibility to ensure that the address used for its Contribution is fit to handle such return function (especially to ensure not to contribute directly from an address provided by an exchange, e.g. Coinbase). Failure to do so, may lead to the loss of these ETH. The same applies in case the Contribution is not accepted by the SCS for any other reason.
Block Time Delay: The Contributor is aware that, due to Ethereum block time delay, the exact time of the end of the Initial Contribution Period and the Contribution Period can not be warranted.
Activation Threshold: If Contributions of less than CHF 700’000 are submitted to the SCS, the project is considered to have failed. The Contributor’s contribution will be transferred back to the address used to transfer the ETH to the SCS. It lies within each Contributor’s responsibility to ensure that the address used for its Contribution is fit to handle such return function (especially ensure not to contribute directly from an address provided by an exchange, e.g. Coinbase). Failure to do so, may lead to the loss of these ETH.
Contribution Freeze / Abort: During the Contribution Period, Mysterium may at any time stop the contribution function for security reasons. As long as such contribution freeze is upheld or if the Contribution Period is terminated, no further Contribution will be possible.
Transferability of MYST during the Contribution Period and after: Any and all MYST are not transferable during Contribution Period and for the time thereafter until after the Mysterium Entity has been established and the MYST are unlocked (expected to be between 2-4 weeks from the end of the Contribution Period).
3.3. Contribution Software
Contributions in ETH: Contributions in ETH must be made by using the Contribution Smart Contract System provided by Mysterium at the address set forth under para. 7. The SCS will record the equivalent "value" of Contributions in CHF (Swiss francs) as set forth under para. 14.
Ensure use of the original Smart Contracts: Only the SCS existing at the addresses set forth will issue MYST after the Contribution Period. To the extent that any third-party website, service or smart-contract offers MYST during the Contribution Period or facilitates the allocation or transfer of MYST in any way during the Contribution Period or at any time thereafter, such third-party websites or services are, unless explicitly mentioned on https://mysterium.network/, not authorised by Mysterium and have no relationship in any way with Mysterium.
Minimum / Maximum Contributions per Contributor: No minimum or maximum Contribution amounts per Contributor exist.
3.4. Contribution Information and Multipliers
1 Contribution Information: Contributions made during the Contribution Period are being recorded by the SCS. The SCS records the equivalent of the contributed amounts in CHF (calculated using the price provided by MYSTERIUM before the Contribution Event) and the date and time of the Contribution ("Contribution Information"). Upon a successful Contribution having been made, the Contribution Information will reflect the quantity of MYST to be allocated to the Contributor in proportion to their Contribution. Such allocation shall be proposed in accordance with the mechanism set forth below.
2 Seed Multiplier for Seed Contributors: When Contributions are recorded by the SCS, a multiplier ("Seed Multiplier") is applied for the purpose of MYST allocation to Seed Contributors as recorded in the MYST Seed Smart Contract. Thereby, the multiplication of the Seed Contribution amounts (in ETH) with the Seed Multiplier results in the exact amount of CHF and therefore MYST for the Contribution. The following formula applies:
*MYST allocation = [Contribution in ETH] * [CHF exchange rate of ETH] * [Seed Multiplier] *
The Seed Multiplier will be determined as follows:
If ETH equivalent to CHF 2 Mio (CHF 2’000’000) (or less) are contributed: Seed Multiplier = 1 (No Seed Multiplier). If ETH equivalent to more than CHF 2 Mio (CHF 2’000’000) and less than CHF 6 Mio (CHF 6’000’000) are contributed: Seed Multiplier = 1 to 5, calculated gradually. If ETH equivalent to more than CHF 6 Mio (CHF 6’000’000) are contributed: Seed Multiplier = 5 Calculation Examples: (Based on the following assumptions: ETH-CHF exchange rate =ETH 1: CHF 150: ; Contribution = 6000 ETH)
Example 1: if CHF 2’000’000 (or less) is contributed in total, the MYST allocated to Seed Contributor will be: 60001501=900’000.
Example 2: if CHF 2’800’000 is contributed in total, the MYST allocated to Seed Contributor will be: 60001501.8=1’620’000.
Example 3: if CHF 7’000’000 is contributed in total, the MYST allocated to Seed Contributor will be: 60001505= 4’500’000.
3 Contribution Multiplier for Early Contributors: When Contributions are recorded by the SCS, a multiplier is also applied for the purpose of MYST allocation to Contributors ("Contribution Multiplier") for early Contributions in the Initial Contribution Period made up to the point of the Contribution Soft Cap. Thereby, the multiplication of the Contribution amount (in CHF) with the Contribution Multiplier results in the exact amount of MYST allocated to the early Contributor for their Contribution.
The following Contribution Multipliers that will be applied:
Before Contribution Soft Cap is reached: Contribution Multiplier = 1.2 (i.e. Contributor receives 1.2 MYST for every CHF contributed)
After Contribution Soft Cap is reached: No Contribution Multiplier applies = Contributor receives 1 MYST for every CHF contributed
(based on the conversion rate for ETH-CHF specified for the Contribution Period)
4 Creation and Allocation of MYST to Contributor: The creation and allocation of MYST by the Smart Contract System are initiated by the Contributor sending an amount of ETH to the Smart Contract System, located on the Ethereum blockchain at the addresses set forth, which triggers a smart contract operation. The Smart Contract System creates and the MYST Seed Smart Contract recommends an allocation of the corresponding MYST to the User’s wallet address, from where the ETH were sent from. The Mysterium Project cannot guarantee to Contributors that the creation and allocation of MYST will be conducted as set forth in these Terms.
5 Contributors shall ensure they make their contribution using an ETH address to which the Smart Contract System can send back MYST and/or ETH to (e.g. not an address of a currency exchange). Issuance of MYST (meaning that respective entries of the Public Key (PUK) of User) are made by the Smart Contract System on the blockchain according to the allocation information in the Smart Contract System and as further set forth below.
2. MYST Seed Smart Contract / MYST Allocation
1 MYST Allocation according the Seed Smart Contract: The Mysterium Entity shall make allocations of MYST according to the principles set forth below and under section [1.4] above and as per the MYST Seed Smart Contract. References to percentages below are intended to refer to a percentage of the total MYST that will be issued and are available for allocation to all participants at the end of the Contribution Period (including locked and unlocked tokens to be allocated to the relevant Pool) ("Total MYST"):
Pool A: These MYST shall be allocated to and used by the Mysterium Entity entirely at its own discretion for the development and maintenance of the Mysterium Network and/or Mysterium Project. The number of MYST allocated to Pool A depends upon the amount of Contributions made during the Contribution Period. The minimum MYST allocated to Pool A shall be 15% of the Total MYST and the maximum MYST allocated to Pool A shall be 50%. The percentage of tokens allocated to Pool A will decrease gradually to 15% until Soft Cap is reached. If Soft Cap is reached, the tokens allocated to Pool A will be fixed at 15%.
Pool B: 10% of the Total MYST shall be allocated to the founders of the Mysterium Project in return for their early financial, development or management contributions that were needed to realize the current design of the MYSTERIUM Network ("Founders"). Pool B token shall be locked, i.e. not transferable, for a period of 12 month from the end of the Contribution Period.
Pool C: 9% of the Total MYST shall proposed to be allocated to the Mysterium Entity (in addition to Pool A). These MYST shall be used by the Mysterium Entity or allocated by the Mysterium Entity at its own discretion in relation to recognising people that provided early financial, development, advisory or management contributions that were needed to realize the current design of the MYSTERIUM Network ("Other Contributors")
2 Contribution Security Lock-Up Period: In order to safeguard the Contributions and the interests of MYST holders before the Mysterium Entity has been incorporated, any and all Contributions will be locked in the SCS for a duration of 2 weeks starting at the beginning of the Contribution Period "Security Lock-Up Period".
3 Escrow Agent: After the end of the Security Lock Up Period, the SCS will transfer the contributed ETH to a multisig wallet, out of which – until establishment of the Mysterium Entity is completed – 2 keys are held by an escrow agent, which guarantees that no funds may or will be transferred other than to the Mysterium Entity. Upon incorporation of the Mysterium Entity, the Escrow Agent will hand over all keys in his possession to the legal representatives of the Mysterium Entity.
3. MYST Functionality
MYST are intended only for use in connection with the Mysterium Project under the terms of the smart contract system of the Mysterium Network and under the terms of the Mysterium Project (to be released), and only constitute a transferable representation of attributed functions specified in the smart contract system of the Mysterium Network. MYST do not represent a share, unit or other security or derivative of the same or any intellectual property right or any other interest in the Network, in the Mysterium Entity or in any entity that issues or administers MYST and/or receives Contributions related thereto or in any other company associated with the Network or any other public or private enterprise, corporation or other entity in any jurisdiction.
Ownership of MYST carries no rights express or implied other than the right to use MYST as a mean to enable usage of and interaction with and within the Mysterium Network, if the same is successfully completed and deployed. Beyond this, ownership of MYST carries no rights express or implied. In particular, Contributor understands and accepts that he has no right to claim as holder of MYST any intellectual property rights, equity or equivalent rights or any other form of participation in or relating to the Mysterium Project or the Mysterium Entity.
4. Mysterium Project Execution
The Mysterium Entity shall have sole discretion to decide how to allocate the Contributions received in order to develop and execute the Mysterium Network and/or the Mysterium Project.
The Contributor understands and accepts that he has no influence on the governance and decisions of the Mysterium Entity.
The Mysterium Entity shall have the right to engage subcontractors to perform the entire or partial development and execution of the Mysterium Network and/or Mysterium Project.
The Contributor understands and accepts that developing and creating the Mysterium Network and/or Mysterium Project requires substantial research and development effort. It is possible that substantial conceptual, commercial or technical changes could be made during that process. The Contributor further understands and accepts, that the level of development of the Mysterium Project depends on the amount of Contributions received, and the amount of software and community support.
5. No Warranty as to the Contribution Software and other Software involved
The Contributor understands and accepts that the used software and technology is still in an early development stage and its application of experimental nature which carries significant operational, technological, financial, regulatory and reputational risks. The Contributor understands and accepts that the Network and the MYST will be provided without any form of warranty, including direct or indirect warranties that the Network, the MYST, the Contribution Software and the other software systems involved in the Contribution process are fit for a particular purpose or do not contain any weaknesses, vulnerabilities or bugs which could cause, inter alia, the complete loss of ETH and/or MYST. 6. Risks
The Contributor understands and accepts the risks in connection with the Contribution to the Mysterium Project and the Mysterium Entity, and/or with the allocation, use and ownership of MYST, as set forth herein Including without limitation, the inherent risks listed below:
Risk of software weaknesses: The Contributor understands and accepts that the underlying software application and software platform, The Client (Mysterium Network), the Contribution Software, the storage software for the Contribution Information and other involved software and technology and technical concepts and theories are still in an early development stage and unproven, why there is no warranty that the process for receiving, use and ownership of MYST will be uninterrupted or error-free and why there is an inherent risk that the software and related technologies and theories could contain weaknesses, vulnerabilities or bugs causing, inter alia, the complete loss of or lack of usability of MYST.
Regulatory risk: The Contributor understands and accepts that the blockchain technology allows new forms of interaction and that it is possible that certain jurisdictions will apply existing regulations on, or introduce new regulations addressing, blockchain technology based applications, which may be contrary to the current setup of the Contribution process and which may, inter alia, result in substantial modifications of the Mysterium Network and/or the Mysterium Project, including its termination and the loss of or inability to use MYST for the Contributor. Further, the Contributor accepts and bears risks with respect to US-regulations that may regulate the Contribution and/or potential custody of MYST.
Risk of abandonment / lack of success: The Contributor understands and accepts that the allocation of the MYST and the development of the Mysterium Network and/or Project may be abandoned for a number of reasons, including lack of interest from industry and/or the public, lack of funding, lack of commercial success or prospects (e.g. caused by competing projects). The Contributor therefore understands that there is no assurance that, even if the Mysterium Network and/or the Mysterium Project is partially or fully developed and launched, the Contributor will receive any functionality through the MYST held by him.
Risk associated with other applications: The Contributor understands and accepts that the Mysterium Network and/or Mysterium Project may give rise to other, alternative projects, promoted by unaffiliated third parties, under which MYST will have no usefulness or intrinsic value.
Risk of theft: The Contributor understands and accepts that the underlying software application and software platform, The Client (Mysterium Network), the Contribution Software, the storage software for the Contribution Information, other involved software, other technology components and/or platforms may be exposed to attacks by hackers or other individuals that could result in theft or loss or inability to use MYST, or the theft, loss or inability to use Contributions, impacting the ability to develop and launch the Mysterium Network and/or the Mysterium Project.
Risk of blockchain mining attacks: The Contributor understands and accepts that, as with other public blockchain based systems that depend upon independent miners, the Mysterium Network and/or the Mysterium Project may be susceptible to mining attacks including but not limited to double-spend attacks, majority mining power attacks, "selfish-mining" attacks, and race condition attacks. Any successful attacks present a risk to the Mysterium Network, expected proper execution and sequencing of MYST transactions, and expected proper execution and sequencing of software computations.
Risk of governance attacks and failure: The Contributor understands and accepts that the Mysterium Network uses an in-built decentralized governance system ("Governance System"). For these reasons, it is possible that the Governance System adopts proposals that have an adverse effect on the useful functioning of the Mysterium Network and/or the Mysterium Project and/or the value of MYST. If the Governance System is attacked, or becomes controlled either directly or indirectly by some party who makes unwise decisions, or the community generally makes unwise decisions, the value or usefulness of MYST held by a Contributor might be greatly reduced or even permanently impaired.
7. Taxation
The Contributor bears the sole responsibility to determine if his Contribution to the Mysterium Project and receipt by the Mysterium Entity, the allocation, use or ownership of MYST, the potential appreciation or depreciation in the value of MYST over time (if any), the sale and purchase of MYST and/or any other action or transaction related to the Mysterium Network and/or the Mysterium Project have tax implications for him.
By contributing to the Mysterium Project, and/or by receiving, using or holding MYST, and to the extent permitted by law, the Contributor agrees not to hold any third party (including developers, auditors, contractors or founders) liable for any tax liability associated with or arising from the Contribution to the Mysterium Project, the allocation, use or ownership of MYST or any other action or transaction related to the Mysterium Network and/or Mysterium Project.
8. No Liability
The Contributor acknowledges and agrees that, to the fullest extent permitted by any applicable law, the Contributor will not hold the Mysterium Project, the Mysterium Entity and any advisors, administrators, auditors, contractors, developers or founders related to the same or the Mysterium Network ("Released Persons") liable for any and all damages or injury whatsoever caused by or related to the use of, or the inability to use, the Contribution Software, the MYST wallet, the storage software for the Contribution Information, the MYST or the Mysterium Network (the “Technologies”) under any cause or action whatsoever of any kind in any jurisdiction, including, without limitation, actions for breach of warranty, breach of contract or tort (including negligence) and that Released Persons shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential damages, including for loss of profits, goodwill or data, in any way whatsoever arising out of the use of, or the inability to use the Technologies.
The Contributor further specifically acknowledges that Released Persons are not liable, and the Contributor agrees not to seek to hold them liable, for the conduct of third parties, including other creators of MYST, and that the risk of creating, holding and using MYST rests entirely with the Contributor.
By receiving, holding or using MYST, and to the extent permitted by law, the Contributor agrees not to hold any third party (including Released Persons) liable for any regulatory implications or liability associated with or arising from the allocation, ownership or use of MYST or any other action or transaction related to the Mysterium Network and/or Mysterium Project.
9. Miscellaneous
The Contributor agrees that if any portion of these Terms is found illegal or unenforceable, in whole or in part, such provision shall, as to such jurisdiction, be ineffective solely to the extent of such determination of invalidity or unenforceability without affecting the validity or enforceability thereof in any other manner or jurisdiction and without affecting the remaining provisions of the Terms, which shall continue to be in full force and effect.
The SCS and The Client are located in Alderney. Consequently, the contribution procedure, and the MYST creation and allocation are considered to be executed in Alderney.
The Terms govern the Contributions to the Mysterium Project, and the allocation, use and ownership of MYST and represent the entire agreement in respect of the creation and allocation of MYST for Contributors.
The applicable law is Swiss law. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the creation of the MYST and the development and execution of the Mysterium Network and/or Mysterium Project shall be finally settled by the ordinary courts of the registered domicile of the defendant. |

You have to give the exchange your info to buy ETH, but then you send it to a wallet offsite. They have no idea if it went to a wallet you own, or someone else. I guess you have to pull crypto back through an exchange at some point to convert it to USD, but they have no information linking you to any step outside the exchange. The transaction is linked publicly n the blockchain, sure - but who owns each wallet isn't. For all anyone else knows, you bought ETH, sold it immediately in a transaction, bought some more at a later date, and sold that immediately on an exchange for cash. |
