Any government will ALWAYS destroy unarmed protesters if both (i) they are willing to crush the protesters with unlimited force and (ii) they are not beholden to the liberal world order via finances, NGOs, or other direct means which could otherwise put pressure on the government (see: the fall of Mubarrak).

These protests, obviously organized by the State Department and Iranian exiles, are incredibly foolish and anyone with a brain in Iran should stay far, far, far away from them.

The Shah wasn't willing to use unlimited force and was kneecapped by the U.S.

The military leadership was increasingly paralyzed by indecision, and rank-and-file soldiers were demoralized, having been forced to confront demonstrators while prohibited from using their own weapons (and being condemned by the Shah if they did).[113]

These people are risking their lives to protest an SPS regime that has failed to justify its rule with solid economic growth after the easing of sanctions

The well being of citizens don't matter - look at North Korea, where people live in abject poverty. Russia and China support the Iranian government and the government is determined to stay in power.

This will be a monumental disaster for the protesters.

Without outside military intervention you need a major faction that can be armed and trained (ala US funding Syrian rebels, or USSR funding Vietnam communists). A faction like that doesn't exist in Iran.

So, nothing without outside military intervention.

No meaningful sanctions were actually lifted. They gave up their nuclear program essentially to avoid invasion. Sanctions remain.

This is started by the US on behest of Neocon kikes here in the US. It will fail as it always does. Iran isn't Iraq - something Americans know but tend to forget when they have jew cock in their mouths.

tbf, it's not intended to "succeed" in the sense of the protests toppling the regime. it's meant to create a crisis inside of iran which helps develop a saleable causus belli for a larger war.

Looks like an American influence campaign. The rhetoric is Western; it’s being organized on Facebook and Facebook messenging apps; and it comes off like some people in the Trump administration trying “to do to the Iranians like the Russians did to us.”

Hence why you have to ban Facebook if you are Russia, China or Iran. Shocked they are allowed to operate at all over there.

reading comprehension pwnd?

the big news of this uprising is that nobody in the press knew who the protesters were for the first few days. they are the working class who did not protest in 2009 and don't participate politically and are not closely tied to the middle class or foreign powers.

the initial outbreak was caused by a right wing leader who told them to protest a moderate leader and they said fuck both yall
