yeah exactly. this type of thing. shit is smooth 90% of the time, but the other 10% of the time is a huge headache and GC isnt equipped to deal with it quickly.

pddj recently returned a couple jackets or something to nordy and they said they processed the return and sent her confirmation. it's been 2 wks and the credit hasnt been received on my amex. called today. they dont know and need to submit a request to the 'research team.' it's nordstrom and they'll take care of it eventually, but a colossal waste of time.

cr. We have little recycling bins that boxes don't fit into. We either have to drive it to the dump (free, but a hassle) or throw it into our old apartment's dumpster at night. Also have a pile of boxes sitting around prior to recycling day. Worst is Amazon when you order 7 things and you get 5 different boxes: One with deodorant, one with face wash, bar soap spread across two boxes, etc.

If we could just drag our garbage to the street and it didn't have to be in a bin, it wouldn't bother me.

there's no way it saves time, other than for basics like toilet paper.

for clothing (especially women), online shopping is a colossal waste of time. much more efficient to go to the department store and try everything on and pick something.

pddj will order a bunch of shit from nordstrom, then we have a bunch of boxes piled up in the living room. then she'll try it on and not like any of it. then we have to deal with returning it all and keeping track of the returns. then she'll order a bunch of new shit, and the cycle repeats.

much easier to spend a sunday afternoon at nordstrom.

how much shit do you order and return? i might make one order a month and as long as it arrives in working order, there's 0 reason to return it. if this is even a problem for you, you MIGHT be a GC cuckold

1) GC frequently makes "mistakes" and just sends you the wrong shit or broken shit. target sent us sugar last week that leaked through the box. also sent us the incorrect kitchen sponges (different upc than on the order number even) on friday.

2) with clothing, you need to order a lot of shit to get what you want since you cant try it on

I prefer shopping locally. Next is walmart.com, you can pick it up at the store and return at the store. Next is Amazon. Then finally eBay.

I order most toiletries and cleaning supplies online - I never return those.

For clothes and stuff, inventory in physical stores are always worse (none in this size or whatever) and often sales are online only (like gap/br often has extra 40% online only, not available in store). Why the fuck wouldn’t I shop online for the discount.

Also browsing physical store for items is a lot more time consuming then browsing online at any point during the day.

The part I hate about it is the boxes. They just pile up in my garage until the space is unusable and then every few months I'll spend an hour or two breaking down boxes and then on the night before recycling day I have to carry them all to the street. I hate it, but it is a lot less time than going to the stores
