Plus you can keep a 1x optic and strobe light on that upper for home defense and then put a nice scope and lighter weight handguard/muzzle brake/etc on the .300 upper. But again if you're shooting supersonic anyways, 6.8 or even 6.5 grendel are probably better options.
In my mind .300 BLK is sort of a one trick pony and you need a silenced SBR to use it to it's full potential. |

S&W Shield 9mm or Springfield XD-S 9mm. You can always get extended mags for compact, concealable handguns if you want more capacity, but you can’t make a full size Glock small enough to comfortably conceal.
AR-15 (.223) if you want a semi auto rifle. Remington 700 in .308 if you want a bolt action. |

Pistol - something name brand in 9mm. I don’t know much about pistols.
Rifle - depends what you are looking for. Purely hunting? Something bolt action from ruger in 308. Something more defense oriented? An AR. My issue with the AR in a societal breakdown situation is that they can be finicky. However, due to the lego like modularity of them, if something breaks you should be able to find a replacement. I would also get an upper in a popular hunting caliber - perhaps a 6.5 Grendel. |
