There was a cohort of active posters who would post about x coin going up and down, one of them being "short quotemo" whose moniker was "" and whose real life identity is an Indian megalawyer for Prudential or some shit.
He landed on several hit coins and people in general were like "he's coordinating pump and dumps on an invite-only Slack channel." Slack was like the original version of Teams/Discord
It kept getting repeated and I assumed it was a meme/joke. Then someone discovered he was sued by the Tezos scammers who revealed that he actually was doing the rumored thing i assumed was a joke. He got humiliated but he is protected at his job by nepotism and still makes a ton of money for do-nothing work as far as I know
