Hotchkiss is in the middle of the woods. There's shitty-to-no cell service. People aren't very nice, even compared to other prep school assholes.
St. Paul's has been in the news and not in a good way. There is a new head. It's also in the sticks - Concord NH - although not as bad as Hotchkiss.
For both St. Paul's and Hotchkiss (slightly less so), their $ and Ivy+ placement are still close to Andover/Exeter level - and better than Choate.
But given the soft factors working against Crotchkiss and SPS, even though Choate is probably the weakest academically of the three, it's an understandable choice. |
