On a surface level there are good cops but the police state, even as a normal bro, has gotten out of control. It’s gotten to a point where I risk interacting with a LEO on almost all of my long drives simply for existing due to the litany of excuses they have to pull people over and generate revenue, and it’s absurd how easily most of those interactions can lead to arrests or at least a very unpleasant, weekend ruining experience. And I’m a white attorney. God knows what the average black guy puts up with, which in my direct experience with black friends is much worse. This has nothing to do with libs or borders or trump or government overreach, and screw the bootlicking neckbeards on this board that defend anything about the current status quo based on their interactions with good cops. There is a massive, nationwide problem. It needs to be fixed.
Btw, Heroin using guy in my Starbucks is an annoyance. Cop in my Starbucks is literally an actual, small chance my life is ruined if I say the wrong thing at the wrong time. If good cops suffer as a result of us treating them like social pariahs they can address the fucking problem. |

In the last week alone I’ve had a cop tailgate my car for two miles with my family freaked out, was out on a boat with friends watching all the other boats anchored around us get raided and searched for no reason at all while we’re wondering if we were going to be next, and went shopping at a local mall where I was literally within 100 feet of 10 police officers with massive assault rifles and German Shepard’s.
