Best parts/advantages to me are good and reliable public transport, outdoor/summer/park culture, Paris cafe culture / London pub culture and overall euro work culture. Fridays in London during the Summer are pretty much half days for everyone. People spill out at lunch and go get beers with their coworkers or meet up with friends and have a few drinks in the park. You're not going to get a response from anyone, so may as well embrace it. Good luck trying to get a deal done in France during August - so just embrace it and relax. In London, it's great having my local pub literally 5 doors around the corner from my flat. Everyone in the neighborhood goes there so you get to know who you live around. Me and my neighbors (all in their 30's) have a group chat and we meet up for random pints or dinner at the pub throughout the week when someone says they're heading over. All the pubs are dog friendly and my pup can go off lead in the neighborhood no problem. He knows our neighbors, and the cafe owners, butchers, bartenders etc. It's hard to find a real community like that in the US. Countless times now I'll be walking with my wife and dog in this huge park near our house, and we stumble into one of our neighbors with drinks and food - text the group and it turns into an impromptu potluck/bbq. People are thinner and prettier here. It's easier to keep in shape since you walk everywhere and people arent as terrified at human interaction compared to the US. There's a lot of bull shit too, but I'm much happier with my London life than I was with my US life which now seems a lot more self-centered, anxious and isolating.

(1) There are a lot of shrews and rich people trying to one-up each other, so instead of going to the beach in the Bahamas or even Tampa, they are going on a 20 hour plane ride to stay at the Four Seasons in some country no one has ever heard of, where they will sit by the pool and eat gourmet meals and have a vacation virtually indistinguishable from if they had stayed at the nicest hotel in Myrtle Beach and never left the property.

(2) When you actually do try to see the wonders of the world, you really just see a bunch of people taking selfies in front of the wonders of the world. I would love to go to Machu Pichu some day, but its going to be a bummer to see it surrounded by people like his.

Not to mention just how rude Indian an Asian tourists are. I'd honestly rather sit on my couch then be on a tour bus driving through paradise with a group of Indian tourists.
