for me, the most utterly absurd lib belief is that we shouldn't bother owning guns under the 2nd amendment as a check against potential government overreach, because if the government ever sent in the military against civilians, "our guns wouldn't be effective against the Real Military"
it always blows my mind whenever another grown adult rattles this one off. so in your hypothetical scenario, the government has decided to send in the military to kill its *own citizens,* and in this scenario you.....don't want to have guns....? i've talked to some otherwise pretty "intelligent" "men" who will look you in the eye and tell you this, and it's fucking mind-blowing every single time
