62,800 miles. Less than 18,000 USD.
Insurance was a little pricier than my Mustang - 650 USD - but very, very reasonable.
A/C, lights, engine, etc. everything checks out. No issues. Did A LOT of research before choosing this car and its specs.
I vividly remember driving my Mustang home after purchasing it and getting a lot of looks. This Cayman takes it to the next level - I'm talking virtually everyone stopping to look and talk about it.
Very surprised at how comfortable the ride was while driving it home from the dealership. You really have to put more effort into turns and it feels like you're in a go-kart, whereas my Mustang required barely no effort to turn/steer.
Cruising on the highway though...absolute 180. There were times in Mustang where I'd floor it and I'd get scared shit would fall apart. Cayman? You can go as fast as you want and you literally can feel how planted to the ground you are.
Quite different cars and a huge upgrade. Absolutely in love with the Porsche Cayman.

the CSes start at 30k for legit ones and that is way beyond my budget. this one came with a custom exhaust that sounds absolutely GNARLY. supposedly the 2.7s have to work harder at lower rpms so the thing is a fucking screamer at like 2000/3000 - none of that boring explosion shit either

i see maybe 3 porsches for every camaro/challenger/mustang. that said, porsches are considered supercars. and while my blue mustang stood out there were still a few other blue cars every once in a while.
orange though...i might have the only orange porsche in seoul. literally.
purely from a drivers perspective - ive spent a couple hours in it now to get a feel for the driving mechanics and its much more planted to the ground but the steering is atrocious. you have to pull with all your weight just to move the steering wheel. very annoying.
im gonna get new spark plugs before i do anything bc i want my engine to fire properly
basically if my old stang was a 6 on a 1-10 cool scale, this porsche is like a 9.5
youd need a ferrari or lamborghini to beat it in terms of pantydropping, in so many words |
