A good portion of these women will never get married because they will believe they deserve to marry Brad Pitt. 19min for 5k (XC) is extremely good for what I think is a freshman runner at an Ivy. Also, look at her body type and physique, she's not even really trying when it comes to diet; you could extract more time out of her if she was willing to put her body through it. |

Please state your qualifications and results of runners you've trained.
For perspective, my elite level / Stanford admit had XC 5k times of low 18's @ the Stanford Invite and low 17's at the CIS XC championships. A girl running 19m 5k/XC is more than good enough for YALE, which is not getting cream of the crop runners.
Extra points for not having any comprehension for how college coaches evaluate runners. Body type and composition is a huge consideration when trying to determine what's the additional upside a runner has. And yes, for women to be successful, they have to transform to what can be overall a medically "unhealthy" state. |

There was a period of time where the Stanford "running club" would have crushed the actual T&F team because most of the elite recruits just quit and ran unaffiliated.
Also, it's unsurprising, but I get the monthly email of who has been suspended from coaching (9/10 over sex shit, 1/10 doping), so I imagine a lot of athletes get sideways mentally from that as well.
