When we get into the realm of things that are immoral but not illegal, we can see clearly that it can be profitable to engage in such behaviors at times. self aggrandizement would be the most obvious example. it's generally considered moral to be humble, and immoral to be ostentatious, but the fact is that bragging and ostentatious displays are very profitable, particularly in sales.
