Yes, was necessary in my case. I assume you’re talking internal hemorrhoids.
Don’t eat for a week before surgery or during recovery. You won’t need to have BMs, which are the painful part of recovery. And you’ll heal better.

if you havent, go to a colo-rectal guy. dont rely on your internist or whatever to give you hemmerhoid advice. always take the proctologist's advice.
its really common.
surgery is miserable but, if necessary, worth it.
