Buddy of mine just got DUI, had loaded gun and his 3 y/o kid in his car

Was chilling with neighbors yesterday afternoon and had 4 craft beers when his wife had some emergency at work that made it impossible for her to pick up their kid from preschool like she usually does.
So he went, picked up the kid, and then promptly got pinched for some nonexistent moving violation.
Cop breathalyzed him, he told the cop there was a gun in the car, and according to his wife who I talked to today his lawyer told her he’s very likely fuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked |

His PD told him that he could go away for years if he did trial and have child endangerment on his record. He will probably get out in 90 days on good behavior if he can avoid trouble. Driver's license is gone for a year. He will have to do supervised custody with children for 9 months as part of probation. Also has to get rid of his entire gun collection. His wife has a permit but he can't be in the same household. He has a few rifles that cost over $1,000 and some antique shotguns and revolvers.
