Like, for example, she flew out to his home state shortly after they began talking again, and she entered a profoundly unhinged fugue state as he declined to meet her in person (lying about where he now lives in fact -- this is absolutely essential with truly mentally ill people who develop unhealthy fixations on you). I see the contents of this image mostly as (1) a sort of ritualistic apology for being forced to abandon someone who is pathologically afraid of exactly that outcome and may one day learn the full truth of what has transpired and (2) a probing at the most difficult things to appreciate about borderline-disordered women, which is their fundamental lack of empathy and the ultimate emptiness of the "love" you once found tremendously enticing and sits at the root of a very deliberately nurtured guilt/obligation complex. She probably went as far as buying him tickets to fly to her state before this, forwarding him the receipts and flight details, etc, and of course this too was rejected. I imagine if you meticulously combed the full corpus of these messages you wouldn't find a single one but many explicit rejections of the possibility. What you do see are stylized expressions of pain and exhortations for mindfulness, empathy, and guilt-resolution. I'm also just now getting the feeling, which is just a suspicion, that this relationship lasted far longer and involved far more investment than the borderline-disordered woman who posted it led you to assume (deliberately, of course).
