IB analysts make a lot of money, but they're like lower-tier professional athletes in that their earnings are quite meager once you consider that (1) they are being paid for the risk of (in this case, psychological) injury, and (2) they will be unemployable, at their current level, in the future. Also, their hours suck. I wouldn't call this character successful. |
