Massive growth, 28%. Losses down 90% YoY — from $45M to $4M (and 99% measuring by EBITDA). Some previous quarters they hemorrhaged $70M. Only -600k EBITDA. The highly unprofitable and now shuttered food delivery business was still operating last quarter, too.
still plenty of cash on hand and no debt. New, young CEO has made a tremendous turnaround since Jumia dumped its founders 18 months ago.
Should be profitable this year.

The Jumia brand has become so strong that they grew revenues while eliminating unprofitable categories and slashing sales and marketing expenses. Jumia has become the only company at scale that can move: goods, services, money, and people across Pan-Africa. We can write volumes on the turnaround and we will. The African media has already picked up on the transformation.
