There's barely any daylight in the winter and that fucks with your head when you're there for a while. Oslo is not the most raucous capital city, i'd probably choose Stockholm or Copenhagen. Denmark is the most normal, chill. Best food, best weather, fewest bad laws, connected to continental Europe. Sweden is really nice too, but further north. More attractive people, worse beer but maybe better food than Denmark. Norway is isolated in a good way and beautiful but super boring. Finland is LOL weird and kinda more its own thing than "Scandinavian." (The Finnish prime minister character in Veep was spot on.) |
