I wonder what the mechanism is for the body to provide this kind of information to the brain
In crusader kings 3 there is a well developed trait that tells you when there is 1 year left of life so you can prepare succession, a big advantage. It’s a hard trait to acquire though |
Date: April 27th, 2024 2:28 AM Author: Spectacular Locus Party Of The First Part there are all kinds of weird signs your strength is failing that no one else can see. just ime, lots of weird little pains not obviously related to joints, muscles, or organs; weird almost 'glitches' in your sense perception; subjective lack of balance and old mastery with familiar manual tasks; physical changes you'd need to look for everyday to notice, like bloodshot eyes or bruises that take longer to heal, probably many more. being old and unemployed would give you way too much time to ruminate. all identifiable things aside, i think we tend to take in much more information (sensory, etc.) than our minds can process or analyze, which just gives us a vague sense of things. i suspected i was dying a couple of months before i nearly did, as i poasted about on here. it was about a month exactly before i fell off the cliff that i had no doubt it was coming soon. not sure what changed, but something did, and i would wager it's more of the latter sort -- some kind of critical mass of individually imperceptible things that coalesce into a sort of passive awareness of the whole of a thing. |
