Basically the whole film up until project mayhem is quotable. "I haven't been fucked like that since grade school," plus Tyler Durden's famous Gen X monologue.
The Usual suspects has nothing memorable about it other than the ending scene and the soundtrack. Same for movies like A Few Good Men. They really designed some of these to be "watercooler films" built around one memorable scene. |

Great movie, but especially because the Pacino Deniro scene was so hyped at the time, and was kind of underwhelming. But really the whole movie just rests on that shootout, which is the greatest shootout of the 90s easily, and maybe of any non-western ever.
100% agree re Jerry Maguire. It’s like the epitome of a Cameron Crowe script, so by definition it will have a litany of scenes that are quotable/memorable pulls on heart strings. The show me the money scene is/was arguably the bigger scene than the you complete me scene, plus the little kid and all his dorky lines and the shoplifting the pootie scene. It’s not close to being a single scene movie. |
