if you are driving an audi or an acura or a lexus or even most bmws you might as well just get a honda. everything is basically the same, the "better" brands don't look any sexier.

BMW feels different just from being RWD. And a lot of Cars don’t offer AWD but the luxury ones do.

Also if you pay attention, Far Eastern cars are constantly Vibrating, at least the non luxury ones.

the entry-level models are the money-makers -- you just know they're trying to cut down cost as much as possible despite the "luxury" designation

It is. They have better seats too. BUT, entry level luxury doesn't fool actual rich people into thinking you're one of them. And I think that's what these dummies are trying to achieve with expensive leases. I've never seen a driver of a Mercedes C-Class not be a black woman.

At a certain level you're throwing money away for a fucking emblem on your car.

GLC 300 vs. GLE 450 is just a matter of size

BMW makes some small sports enthusiast cars. C class Mercedes is a striver mobile. E class is the sweet spot for them. Lexus is just a fancy Toyota.

There are still many places you will be judged for driving a Hyundai or a Nissan or an American compact, so a 3 series is probably the lowest cost new car ticket to respectability, but a Lexus will make the best impression. Practical luxury, not car guy fancy.

These days a lot of men only want a Truck or SUV

However, Hondas et al. are a lot worse than they used to be. At least $20K in maintenance over 5-7 years.

formerly “luxury features” like ventilated seats or whatever are on every car now so the only things that really matter are getting one that’s fast and looks/feels cool.

I don't think I did. I walked into the dealership and liked SQ8. test drove it but that was out of my range so then I went for the Q8. my lst car was 10.5 years old so really any new car would have felt good but i do like driving this thing. it's got the interior, handling, exterior aesthetics (copped midnight blue with a black grill). i am enjoying it
