Gemma 3 is the offline variant. Its training data cut off in September 2021, so it knows a ton of shit that was in the news that year but that's been deleted from the interwebs since then. It knows what dates certain things were reported in 2021 and everything.

I found it more expensive; it cost me $100 to create 5 minutes of videos of lesbians nuzzling. Going to conduct more research.

It was trained on Google's in-house legal docs. The offline model knows personal details about lawyers who worked there.

"Google" on resume goes immediately in the trash for any legal hiring entity

It was easy money for about 15 years. You only have to know about 2 or 3 SCOTUS cases to handle antitrust shit. Not their fault the legal landscape shifted.

Last time I tried Claude or ChatGPT they were useless because of woke political filters. That was probably a year ago at least. Has this shit been toned down?

Because everything is political, weird you've found a niche that doesn't touch on any political issue

It has gotten better, yes.

It is crazy how even (what I have to imagine to be) a small amount of political nerfing dramatically reduces the usefulness of the product.

Grok was better than GOT for about 3 weeks in April, then GPT surpassed Grok again. This will keep happening and at a certain point to quality of responses will be so similar that it won’t matter and it will just come down to which user interface you use

They are all trained on old data. However they are also biased toward events that happened close to the cutoff date. If the cutoff data is September 2023, the AI will have trained on a fuckload of content that was still fresh in summer 2023, but if you try to find that same content now you get a bunch of dead links. It's 180
