Apparently Ireland occupies a latitude where the atmosphere is still thick, the angle of the sunlight as it hits the earth gets reflected relatively highly, and there is significant cloud cover. Ethnicities from further north get more UV exposure because the atmosphere is thinner at the poles and higher snow levels reflect light. Ethnicities from further south get more direct light. Other enthicities in the same latitude have more snow and fewer cloudy days. |
