It's a weird place these days. The establishment is much more woke than the American establishment and is a continuous self-owning treadmill. Case point: the Glasgow museums removing Egyptian mummies from display as no consent was ever given.
I still go to London regularly for work/family and in the last few years I'm always left with the sense that the city is on the last legs, fumes really, of a certain UK we once knew and is on the principe of a major change that will see it become a quite different place fairly soon. |

the current PM was chosen by his party and he wasn't even in office anywhere. he sucks but the electorate does not matter at all. not surprisingly, the politicians are trying to rejoin the EU because then at least they will have a constituency. |
