I almost got shanked for saving a seat on rush hour MARC train

Two friends and I were going to a panel discussion in DC, and one of the friends got on at another stop, so we were saving her seat. I think one guy (young guy in a suit, no less) wanted to punch me, and another guy was like "You can't do that! I'm telling the conductor!"
