“More likely to die in a car crash!”, they say. Yeah but the thing is when you are hanging in the atmosphere and suddenly feel your stomach drop and the universe collapse around you, there is going to be plenty of time to be conscious that you are going to die horribly. And that relatively short window of time is going to seem A LOT longer.
