Au contraire, I find it much easier to read books than a bunch of poorly spelled stream-of-consciousness and angry Freudian projection from people trying to ragebait me into validating their existence while the blue light from the display seeps into my corneas and irradiates my brain’s wavelengths.

Yeah I have a lot of them and actually read most of them, don’t even display them properly, they are just stacked in a corner. I also have one of those Paperwhite things which is a staple of the Middle Class.
Good poast. It’s just pointless as hell unless you Love it.
I respect the written word when it’s used to communicate complex things with a sense of brevity. Books are the total opposite. They go on forever. And the book needs to be long as fuck or else it isn’t a Book.
I don’t even have screen brain but ffs I can write epic shit posts and Entire Games. The only reason to read Entire Books is to brag to other Losers that I read a book.

Reading real books is highly CR. One of the simplest ways to discern if a man is a Scholar is to find out if he reads.
OP is cr that finding the discipline and concentration to read doesn't come easily these days. I'm blown out by screens, work, and taking care of kids and things around the house. Finding the time and energy on top of those to concentrate on reading is a challenge, but it's worth it. Some of the keys are setting aside the time, putting the phone away (e.g., overcoming the temptation to go to it for every thought that flits by that you could look up), and reading things that you find interesting or entertaining.
