China not impressed by AI; worry risk of crash from capex sinking world economy
Poast new message in this thread
Date: February 13th, 2026 11:10 PM Author: Tan useless brakes voyeur Can’t find the link. Read it days ago. They see real risk of mega tech crash sinking the world economy ala Great Recession. Real revenue and productivity gains illusory and cost is insane. Could be sour grapes from them being behind on AI but after this week I’m wondering if maybe they have a point. Date: February 14th, 2026 11:10 AM Author: flesh well-lubricated newt the number of people who work in govt and big corps simply processing data in a low level away is immense. even if AI goes nowhere beyond that the impact of AI is going to pay off.

Date: February 14th, 2026 11:27 AM Author: ruby feces coffee pot thats retarded. whats funny too is they don't even need to have a literal stake in it. they can just use US company created AI to do whatever they want with it. Date: February 14th, 2026 11:41 AM Author: concupiscible glassy becky forum what does AI even do for avg person other than have someone to ask questions to? i havent seen it improve anything like dreadful hotel/flight booking sites or credit card sites etc
most AI chatbots are pure garbge for financial shit
there's an enormous cost for businesses to adopt AI and be able to trust it at the level of a human, its not furking easy. and anything less than a super huge business might just be intimidated at maeking huge changes
jews are just overselling this shit to get funding, thats abt it.
i always wonder why china style ordering on an app at restos hasnt caught on in all these countries like thailand that have low birth rates, or in europe. its cause idiot restos are too stupid to adopt it, and its not that cheap or easy. so they continue hiring retarded workers to input ur furking order |

Date: February 14th, 2026 11:50 AM Author: flesh well-lubricated newt you've been away too long. every fast food place and a lot of ethnic ones now have electronic ordering. the reason most sit down restaurants don't is because table service is part of the experience people expect from a "nice" restaurant.

Date: February 14th, 2026 12:05 PM Author: Tan useless brakes voyeur Here’s one of the articles. China is focusing on targeted, small scale deployments of AI to boost efficiencies. They think the US capex investments in mega data centers is insane.

Date: February 14th, 2026 3:38 PM Author: concupiscible glassy becky forum china is pragmatic, birdshits arent. its insane they are so ideological instead of applying best practices. this is also what singapore and dubai does. i dont understand why birdshits are so retarded, they cannot change, they are inflexible. gorgeous modi ji by pathetic indian standards is also very pragmatic. i think asians in general are more flexible than retarded violent ape birdshits (http://www.autoadmit.com/thread.php?thread_id=5834711&forum_id=2.#49670806) |

Date: September 9th, 2026 2:12 PM Author: Onyx rehab This has been a risk from the beginning. AI as an investment is an enormously high-variance, strongly right-skewed distribution, with an expected value dominated by the upper tail.
Although any economic crash from an underwhelming AI future is a spa compared to what a worst(ish)-case AI future is building for us in its virtual backyard. |
