I say mixed bag. the gop before trump was completely dead in the water. there is no future for a platform of retarded wars + aggressively anti-labor policy (arguably)
the coalition trump built in 2024 made Democrats look obsolete. why can't someone else come along and rebuild it. those voters haven't disappeared
democrats are a fundamentally brittle coalition of interest groups that loathe one another
And after Trump, the GOP as currently constructed is dead in the water. He did nothing, he accomplished nothing. Very good at creating a cult of personality around himself, very, very bad at governance and in his second term virtually indistinguishable from the neocon GOP he claimed to defeat.
I think tonight is a watershed moment in American politics. The GOP will need to adapt or die. Let's see what unfolds.
you can loathe the man without making yourself sound this absurd. he has dominated the american consciousness for the last 11 years. he beat both political parties in a two party system in 2016. in 2024 he appealed a federal conviction at the ballot box and avoided prison by winning the presidency
obviously there is something really fucking special about him. and I think he is retarded

i don't think this can be entirely blamed on trump although he's definitely heavily culpable
everyone else in the GOP is just as bad. they're all shameless sellouts to jeets, jews, boomers, and women. and they all hate young white men (by "young" i mean "everyone younger than boomers")
the "sarah huckabee" ad from a month ago that smeared young white men as welfare leeches really epitomized who and what the GOP is all about: selling out americans to foreign jeets and jews, boomers circle-jerking with each other about how white men younger than them are inferior and should be persecuted, and stupid, inept, DEI female girlbosses lighting money on fire to LARP
