Most night jobs are 7on/14off but they are ok with 1/2 that and full benefits, i.e. 7on/35off or 14on/70off. The catch is they are onsite while my other jobs are remote. They don't actually pay per shift more than my current job, but they have much less volume , just means I'd be posting more at night. It would be stupid to take such a job and commute all the time. But what if I lived in dubai and just commuted 3 times per year? I.e. could do 14on/7off/7on. But medical benefits would be useless to me, the only real benefit is there 30k 401k contribution. I have another job that offers 4am-12am remote work, higher pay, but no benefits (they are however willing to pay me w2 so I don't pay california tax).
