Nah he wasn't terrible but rather wooden. However, his one Bond movie is definitely better than most of the others.

uh, so what makes a JAMES BOND movie superior to other JAMES BOND movies, minus the performance of the actor portraying JAMES BOND? the set dressing?

OHMSS is arguably one of the T3 most important Bond movies because Tracy dies (the only woman Bond ever truly loved - don't even start with Vesper Lynd). However, while it's critical to understanding Bond, Lazenby with his goofy body, hair, face, and voice, and silly acting totally ruined that movie.

This is really all you need to know: http://thesuitsofjamesbond.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Ruffled-Shirt.jpg

Didn’t you recently post about the comical dubbing over Lazenby in OHMSS. He’s not much of an actor and was too young for the role at that time imo.

The dubbing wasn’t bad by 60s standards. The Disguise was just an excuse to dub him that the filmmakers seized upon. It’s not like he needed to have that guy’s voice to impersonate him.

He literally isn’t an “actor.”

And I wouldn’t call him too young to play Bond, but a little too young for that specific Film with an older co-star. Which never happens with Bond except pussy galore and a few others.
