Last time I got together with HS friends was the Thanksgiving of sophomore year and then after that family holidays shifted because my parents moved. Then college and law school friend groups often got back together a year or two after graduation for a big wedding, then just kind of nothing. Now it’s either the woman who is the binding agent for the social circle moves away because of jobs or a divorce, and some little group implodes. Or the kids stop doing whatever the activity was, change schools, etc. and there go some more people I’ll never see again.
