Honest answer: fake jobs will still exist in most future states of the world (many could be eliminated by 1990 technology and yet here we are), human hands are cheaper and more adaptable than robot hands for many tasks, and knowledge and judgement remain scarce and valuable. If I’m wrong we’ll either live in an ideal world where we can do whatever we want and being educated in your areas of genuine interest is even more valuable, or we’ll be killed by robots and having chosen a dumb major will be the least of your concerns. |
