It obviously depends on how long I survive, but the disability payments are inflation adjusted. I'm 48 now and someone asked me a personal question, what was my Net Worth and I wasn't sure how to answer. It was a close friend, but I told him roughly 2 million in assets/retirement accounts and an additional $7,500 a month from VA and SSDI. I live on $10,000 a month and he said that's like having 3-4 million dollars net worth.

Met a 70 year old working as a walmart greeter. He was telling me that he's bored in retirement. He said he wasn't interested in traveling and really not even interested in leaving the state (midwest). He was in pretty decent shape for a 70 year old, but it was one of the saddest things ever.

I would definitely killself before working as a walmart greeter. How can a human be so completely lost.
