Basically the law is that someone can be an amazing employee, work for the company for 29 years, give like 33% of your entire life to taht company, and then the company can just decide "nevermind we don't like you anymore you're done" and you're fired.

But then this Texas Tech QB can gamble on games he's playing in, and he can argue that he should be able to keep working because he's got a gambling addiction.

See this happen in daily life as people at my company are laid off after decades because they want to go another direction. Meanwhile my scammy friends are hiring lawsuits saying they can't be fired and need to on disability for "anxiety"
