The only people that make money off of real estate are running some kind of scam. Maybe its a scam getting permits and collecting kickbacks. Or maybe it's on the mortgage side. Or building with subpar materials and charging super premiums for luxury finishes. Or maybe it's just running a flat out scam where you make yourself out to be a successful real estate investor but all you are is the owner of a YouTube channel designed to self-promote. It turns out that real estate is and always was a YUGE scam. |

Date: September 10th, 2026 1:58 PM Author: me mum died in the holly (TT6) We need more supply, but we also need a non-govt market. All these 3% and 4% govt subsidized mortgages is the problem. Sellers dont want to sell as then they will get a market rate on their next purchase which will raise their costs 20% all else being equal.
But at least the govt helped those who have assets at the expense of those without. #democracy |
