We're just refining shit from a century ago. How many new inventions have impacted physical life? We still drive cars. Air planes are faster but even that is 70 years out for jet travel. The internet is more similar to a Western union telegram. Your phone is entirely a refinement of tech that has existed for 90 years.

Willis Carrier invented the basic a/c concept in 1902 and the chiller unit in the 1920s

television was around in the 1920s as well (although not commercial yet)
