I’ve always thought that once you get to the point where nothing matters anymore, when even death feels like an option, it weirdly opens a kind of freedom. If you’re already staring down the void, then the things that used to weigh you down, people’s opinions, future plans, old mistakes, etc don’t hold the same power. That realization, as bleak as it sounds, can actually make life feel lighter. You can keep going, but without dragging all that baggage. Just live however you want. If nothing matters, then why not see what life looks like when you stop caring about all the stuff that made it feel so heavy?
