seemed like an escape hatch from lib arts
i really wanted to be an academic, lol. I very much enjoyed scholarship and imagined I could just get the phd and receive a job offer on a leafy campus.
Took me well into my early 20s to realize the fraud, and I panic-law-schooled.
Could have gone back to school for geology or something, fma. I thought law school would be like "reading", which I liked.
But now I could do many things for very low pay and support myself. Moral obligations to children, however, keep me doing this.
