The 12th gens are flawless and have more advanced media engines than the M4. You can still use DDR4 with them. I cannot make it run over 55C with a tower cooler. Can't say that about any AMD server I've ever built. Even with the 5700x I had to raise the minimum voltage, because sometimes it would freeze while idling.

I can run Windows in a VM and passthrough the iGPU. Windows really can't use more than 4 threads and this one has 12. It only cost $109 because people stopped buying Intel.
EDIT: you also can't buy that CPU anymore. You can only get the 12600k with e-cores. There's a good reason these 12600s all got snagged. |

The AM4 platform was the last platform that let consumers run ECC RAM properly. DDR5 ECC DIMMS won't even fit in regular AMD motherboards. I would never dump money into AM5 anything because Intel beats it now. |

All these people say idle power is too high, but my 5700x was idling too low. Glad AMD fixed that. |
