i've read it cover to cover 3-4 times but it takes much longer than a week
you can do it in about a month but that's only with avoiding the more intensive work. if you're being honest with yourself and looking up the contextual bits that you don't know or aren't familiar with it takes much longer
i spent a couple days on the history of the samaritans alone the 2nd time i read it in full (2006 or 2007) and its like that throughout. who were the caananites? why did it matter? what was babylon? why did the 12 tribes of israel matter? etc
takes a lot longer for a full contextual read
