You’d be far more likely to miss than to hit, unless you got unusually lucky or the conditions were extremely favorable and the equipment happened to be perfectly set up. |

for anyone who shoots, hitting a stationary target from 200 yards is not difficult when you're using a scoped rifle. |

It’s drilled into you after thousands of rounds and would be second nature to anyone with actual training or experience. The fact that he left it in the chamber matters imo. Without Scumbag supervision or a few deer kills under his belt I don’t see how he’d be confident that it’d hold zero after being in his Pants. 30-06 also does not have a flat trajectory so range and at least knowing how far away the target is is crucial. as for deflection, it’s possible the round hit a clavicle or something and exited the neck, hence the massive blood loss |
