As the last generation to remember life before the internet, we basically grew up with the internet and, by extension, the online PUA scene. Literally 15-20 yr old dudes who were trying to help each other get laid put PUA on the map.
That rational male SMV graph made a huge impact when it was released. There was a lot of discussion on blogs about its merits, and I remember wondering how reliable it was.
As a mid 30smo myself, the graph has turned out to be MOSTLY true, but I think 36 was a little on the older side for men. It's more like 28-32 ish which seems to be the real peak for the average male.
Gen-Y now 35-45 and apparently Gen Z does not give a fuck about getting laid lol. PUA is completely dead and nothing like its heyday. |
